Pillow Talk

finencurlyhairedgirly's avatarPoetic Whispers In The Night

The anticipation grows, The indication shows

I’m waiting to collide, All needs supplied

Bodies intertwined, Two souls combined

Frantic moments spent, Love pushed to the extent

Lips brushing flesh, Slow and tender caress

Eyes rolling back, Pleasure giving maniac

Gasping for air, In this whirlwind we share

Fingers strumming skin, Like a violin

Melodic moans, Tingling in our bones

Rising like the sea, You and I in harmony

Roaring like the wave, Ecstasy’s what we crave

Mouths whisper affection, Passion made perfection

Exploring each other, Under the cover

Introduce Yourself (Example Post)

This is an example post, originally published as part of Blogging University. Enroll in one of our ten programs, and start your blog right.

You’re going to publish a post today. Don’t worry about how your blog looks. Don’t worry if you haven’t given it a name yet, or you’re feeling overwhelmed. Just click the “New Post” button, and tell us why you’re here.

Why do this?

  • Because it gives new readers context. What are you about? Why should they read your blog?
  • Because it will help you focus you own ideas about your blog and what you’d like to do with it.

The post can be short or long, a personal intro to your life or a bloggy mission statement, a manifesto for the future or a simple outline of your the types of things you hope to publish.

To help you get started, here are a few questions:

  • Why are you blogging publicly, rather than keeping a personal journal?
  • What topics do you think you’ll write about?
  • Who would you love to connect with via your blog?
  • If you blog successfully throughout the next year, what would you hope to have accomplished?

You’re not locked into any of this; one of the wonderful things about blogs is how they constantly evolve as we learn, grow, and interact with one another — but it’s good to know where and why you started, and articulating your goals may just give you a few other post ideas.

Can’t think how to get started? Just write the first thing that pops into your head. Anne Lamott, author of a book on writing we love, says that you need to give yourself permission to write a “crappy first draft”. Anne makes a great point — just start writing, and worry about editing it later.

When you’re ready to publish, give your post three to five tags that describe your blog’s focus — writing, photography, fiction, parenting, food, cars, movies, sports, whatever. These tags will help others who care about your topics find you in the Reader. Make sure one of the tags is “zerotohero,” so other new bloggers can find you, too.

Your Kiss

I love the deep lines of your lips
Can I trace them with my fingertips
Then with my tongue’s tip
As the honey drips
Then lick your chin
So I don’t miss a bit
Then suck on your beautiful lips
Until your body writhe
Can I taste those brown sugar puffs
Lined perfectly on your face
Bet they taste like milk chocolate
Soft as silk in your case
I’m finding myself lost in your eyes
I’m just dazed at your stare
Got me swimming in your irises
I’ll call you my honey bear
The way you gaze at me
Excites all my membranes
Gets my blood to flowing
Hot through my veins
So hot if you brushed me
I’d instantly melt
Into your arms
From your skin I felt

Allow Me

Allow me to penetrate your mind

With my seductive lyrical rhyme

Have you in a state of

hypnosis

Intaking me in high

doses

Is a very dangerous

game

Once I hit your cerebral you’ll never be the same

Allow my words to caress your brain

Heat up your body and drive you insane

Rubbing all over your body telekinetically

Pushing you to the brink of wanting me unapologetically

Allow me to engage your mind in lyrical foreplay

Just open up and let me into your mind’s doorway

I’ll elevate your senses so high with my wordplay

You’ll find yourself begging me to stay

But be careful this is a fair warning

I’ll rock your soul until the morning

Allow me to show you things you never

knew were possible

Once I’m revved up I’m

unstoppable

I’m saying baby no fighting boo

Allow me to ignite you
